LibG

Terms of Use

The rules for using LibG. Plain language, and short.

Last updated 15 September 2026

1. Agreement

By downloading or using LibG you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please delete the app.

In these terms, "we" and "us" mean the developer of LibG.

2. The app

LibG lets you search a catalogue of public-domain books, download them, and read them offline. It is free to download and every book in the catalogue is free to read and keep.

3. The books

LibG does not host or own the books. They come from Project Gutenberg's public catalogue of freely licensed works, whose Terms of Use place no restriction on redistributing these texts and expressly permit commercial use.

Copyright terms vary between countries. If you are outside the country where a work entered the public domain, you are responsible for checking that it is free to use where you are.

The app filters out entries that are marked as still under copyright and entries that hold no readable text. If you believe something is offered in error, write to us and we will remove it.

LibG is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Project Gutenberg. "Project Gutenberg" is a trademark of the Project Gutenberg Literary Archive Foundation.

4. LibG Pro

LibG Pro is an optional purchase that adds bookmarks, highlights, favourites and a Read Next list. It does not add books, and it does not remove any limit on reading — there is none.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.

You can manage or cancel a subscription in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy, and may differ by country.

5. Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple and not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly, but tell us if something went wrong and we will help where we can.

6. Acceptable use

Please do not: reverse-engineer the app, use it to distribute material you do not have the right to distribute, interfere with the services it connects to, or make automated requests to the book catalogue through it.

7. Availability

LibG depends on services we do not control, chiefly the book catalogue. We cannot promise that it will always be reachable or that any particular book will always be available. Books already on your device keep working regardless.

8. No warranty

LibG is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of LibG. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support for LibG. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Your use of the App Store is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and continuing to use LibG means you accept the new version.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
